Physics- i wish to learn them all! it's interesting, and it shows how 'I' is actually should written as 'i'! (not imaginary.. but it means 'small').
Litreature=Art= Another part of our life. Nowadays people focuses on logic and maths, Art and litreature are neglected (but luckily, not fully). Sigh!!!

hi, you are out dated! 30 years ago, logic and maths were king!!!! but now, the age of postmodernism, people in the street and scholarly circle, focus in literature, arts, and creative performance... bcos we realised that hard science and reasoning actually lead us to nowhere and destruction.
now we talk about aesthetics of life....
of course in malaysia context, bcos we are developing nation, lacking the maturity to appreacite arts. , we still engross in technology and business and economics pursuit. for example, people who know the least about liberal arts are the business school and accountant ppl... they fond of money, shallow business literacy, corporate context !! haha! they will kill me!
anyway I have the right to say so, bcos I am business, finance and economic trained, thats y I understand these people mentality.
anyway , recent financial turmoil has shattered my ppl's money mind. this is good that such illusion and bubble of money burst!!
lets go back to literary world, humanity concerned!!
ai ya!maybe you guys are too young to appreciate what i say. after all, what lies before you people is indeed..... the rat race and hustle and bustle of life... fight fight, go for career success, make money, be on top... ai ya , multi level talk again... prosperity gospel talk again.....
HaHa, they want money..
Sometimes i would think, why in a same class, same teacher, same environment, but having different people different mind. Some don't care bout money at all (i got few of these friends, they are not rich), some still care bout money although they are very rich actually.
But for now, i would say, not only pursuing art, pursuing pure logic or maths is quite challenging in term of rice bowl ,a.k.a survival.
Only for those that is linked with economy is a smarter choice for.. perhaps chinese, Malaysian!? Such as Engineering, Business, Accountant etc.
That day on a talk, this IMechE society chairman said that everything we learn during our undergraduate engineering course is nothing if compared to the Management Skills. Hence, he encourage us to take management course. So now, economics is king! But from the past, it has been like this.
But... The recent econimical wave..
Yet, it can't be disagreed that 'no money, no talk'. Just like how the ancient greek managed to do art and science or philosophy. And, try sell some art to Vietnam.. it's unimaginable.
I suggest that after you finish your mechnical engineering, you can pursue Phd in Physics.. in fact Physic is a proper academics subject not engin. and we have nobel for physic, no nobel for engin. to enhance the human knowledge, physics study is crucial,but at lower level, lay level, and earn quick money purpose, engin is the choice..
and too, I suggest you do some reseach in relating physic and music. I am keen to know how two field and be integrated and discussed together.
yu can post some your works in your blog, titled: the physics of music..haha! interesting..
physic is hard science, music is hard arts, so if you can blend the two, you will be given nobel price..
anyway, I think music theory,like chords, rhythm and scale, pitch, and etc. indeed got something do with physic and law of nature... some clues for yu...
pls dun misunderstand my words, of course science and maths still important nowdays. just that now they are not king, as they were 30 years ago. and top scientists are usually very good in arts, and they say that, arts help them to be more creative in doing science. lots of cutting edge science comes from human imagination, for example the quantum mechanic and nano tech.
I suggest yu surf to check the life of albert schweizer. he is such world top theologian, musician , missionary and medical scientist...
He is genius. many theologians are genius..
